Job Summary
We are seeking dedicated and vigilant unarmed security guards to ensure the safety and security of our event and catering venue. As an integral part of our team, you will be responsible for maintaining a safe environment for guests, staff, and property. This position requires individuals who are attentive, proactive, and possess excellent communication skills.
Responsibilities
- Venue Security: Patrol designated areas of the venue to deter and detect signs of intrusion, unauthorized activity, or safety hazards.
- Guest Assistance: Provide assistance and directions to guests, ensuring a positive and welcoming experience.
- Crowd Management: Monitor crowd behavior and intervene in potential conflicts or disturbances to maintain order and ensure the safety of all attendees.
- Emergency Response: Respond promptly to emergencies such as medical incidents, fires, or evacuations, following established protocols and procedures.
- Access Control: Verify credentials and control access to restricted areas, enforcing venue policies as necessary.
- Surveillance: Utilize surveillance equipment to monitor the premises for suspicious activities or security breaches.
- Report Writing: Document incidents, observations, and security-related activities accurately and thoroughly in written reports.
- Collaboration: Coordinate with venue staff, management, and external authorities (if necessary) to address security concerns effectively.
- Equipment Maintenance: Maintain and inspect security equipment regularly to ensure functionality and reliability.
- Customer Service: Interact professionally with guests, vendors, and colleagues, representing the venue in a positive manner at all times.
- Valid Security License preferred but not required: Must possess a valid unarmed security guard license issued by the appropriate regulatory authority.
- Physical Fitness: Ability to stand, walk, and patrol for extended periods, as well as lift and move objects as needed.
- Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with diverse individuals.
- Observational Skills: Keen attention to detail and the ability to recognize and respond to potential security threats.
- Conflict Resolution: Strong conflict resolution skills and the ability to remain calm and composed in high-pressure situations.
- Reliability: Dependable and punctual, with a commitment to fulfilling scheduled shifts and responsibilities.
- Ethical Conduct: Demonstrated integrity and adherence to ethical standards, with a commitment to upholding the highest level of professionalism.
- Flexibility: Willingness to work evenings, weekends, and holidays, as well as the ability to adapt to changing work environments and requirements.
- Previous experience in security, law enforcement, or a related field.
- First Aid/CPR certification.
- Knowledge of basic security and surveillance systems.
- Training in crisis intervention or de-escalation techniques.
